Western 649
Western 649 is the most popular lottery to be played by Canadians and as the name suggests it is the West’s own game available only in the Prairie Provinces and the Territories. With the huge prize of $2000,000 to be won on every draw, you can play more if you add two important days that is Wednesday and Saturday and you can grab a chance to win the $250,000 as the top prize or have the great $100,000 second prize to win. But all this you can do if you play Western 649. Below find all about this lottery, its game play and the prizes to win.
How to Play
- You can play Western 649 by Quick Pick, where the Ticket Terminal will randomly choose your Selection, or pick your numbers using a Selection Slip. Ask for a Western 649 Quick Pick or select six numbers from a field of 1 to 49 on the slip. You can play up to six Western 6/49 plays on one ticket.
- Add Extra for an additional $1 per number. The Extra number(s) is valid for the same draw date(s) as the Host Game listed at the top of your ticket.
- You can add up to six Extra (one per Western 649 purchase) by specifying it with your Quick Pick request or by marking “Yes” under each board played.
- Play 1-25 draws. Tell the Retailer how many draws or mark the number on the slip. For a number not shown on the slip, leave it blank, and the Retailer can enter any number from 1-25.
- In Manitoba, tickets can be purchased online at PlayNow.com.
Advance Play
- Advance Play allows you to play the same Selections for up to 25 consecutive draws with all of your favourite lotto tickets.
- You can play 1-25 draws on Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max, Western 649, Western Max Pick3, Extra and Combo Play.
- For Keno, you can play up to 99 draws.
- One ticket will be issued for all eligible draws. Information on the ticket will indicate the number of eligible draws, the Selection(s) played and the first and last draw date.
Buying an Advance Play ticket
- Simply tell the Retailer how many draws you’d like your Quick Pick ticket for, or mark the number of draws you want to play on the Selection Slip. For a number not shown on the slip, leave it blank, and the Retailer can enter any number up to 25.
- The maximum amount the Ticket Terminals can process in a single transaction must be less than $1,000. So some Advance Play options may not be available.
- You can wait until all the draws are finished. Scanning it at a Ticket Checker or by a Retailer will check all eligible draws and indicate any prizes won.
If you choose to play both the Quick Pick and Advanced then choose ‘Play Both’ and either on a selection slip or by asking the retailer you can get the same selections on your Western 649 ticket
